FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With video production it helps to think in terms of the "event" or the "project" and not get so caught up on the hours. Normally I do not have a time limit when it comes to coverage for a wedding. I will stay until the event is done. There are travel fees to help cover fuel costs and any lodging; the fee will vary according to your location. Weddings require a $350 deposit to hold your date. If needed, I do provide payment plans (within reason). Depending on the total cost, I also give discounts (up to 10%) if everything is paid for up front in one lump sum.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For both photography and videography, communication is key. Talking with you beforehand about what you're trying to achieve, the "look" you want, and what you can expect the final product to be is all part of the pre-production process. From there any necessary deposits are made. After the filming (or photographing) of the event/session, the material is edited and given to the customer. With online sharing platforms like Google Drive, sending over your final products is easy. Other methods of delivery include USB drive via mail.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Two years of film school at Liberty University's Cinematic Arts Center. Two-plus years working various weddings as primary shooter, 2nd shooter, and editor. I have been involved in several short films, small commercial work, small television production roles, and a feature film.
