FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
yes we are required as licensed clinicians, therapists to attend continuing education every year. as a motivational speaker I am also always attending workshops, reading latest research and books on dealing with teenagers to keep up with the trend and needs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love love children and am always curious as to how we change from these innocent dreamers to non dreamers or goal less individuals. My passion has been to help others dream bigger, find options to get their dreams to come true, have information that will help them find their passion, and uniqueness, which is what happens when I am on stage. I strive to make everyone feel and know they count, they are her on purpose. when I realized the teenagers and parents I was counseling were getting transformed, I decided to take my work to the masses, to the world, and have an opportunity to many instead of one patient (client) at a time. many who have never been in counseling, get an opportunity for that moment I am with them to speak and hear from a seasoned therapist who is passionate about their life and transformation. To me this is not work, I love what I do, I love speaking, coaching, counseling and conducting workshops. I also have taken my work to social media by creating a television show The DrStem Show on you tube and local access, that is motivational inspirational so that teens and adults alike can brag about their life, their challenges and how they have over come.
