Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Check that the School has a legal right and a license to advertise and operate as a Private Career/Vocation School. Check with the Washington State Department of Health and Department of Social and Health Services to verify that the training program is approved by them and that they are allowed to teach nursing assisting. You should also ask about the school's NNAAP pass rate statistics.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. There is a huge turn-over rate in the industry because it is very hard work, both physically and emotionally.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Ask about the program's pass rate. Ask about their instructors years of teaching experience in the field. You should also ask for resumes for the school's instructors.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Can you make the the sacrifices needed to get through the program?
Are you physically able to do the job of a nursing assistant?
Have you visited other schools?
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I am committed to putting the student first. If you are not successful, I have failed at my job and therefore I am not successful either. All of our instructors believe in student focused instruction. We are there for you every step of the way! Former students are always in touch and they send their friends and relatives to N.W. Pathways NAC Training Center. Our Graduates are preferred employees all over Washington State.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love helping people! I became a nurse to help others. I saw a need for nursing assistants to be trained as the professionals that they are and started my school. It is pretty cool to help people get jobs, get into nursing school or just do something meaningful with their lives. The super, cool, bonus is that our ill and vulnerable seniors also benefit when our NAC/CNA staff are well trained.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How much is your program? That is probably the most frequently asked question.
The tuition is $750.00 which includes your training, clinical instruction, HIV/AIDS training and certificate, BLS/CPR/AED Training and card (good for 2 years), text book, scrub pants, "Pathways" polo shirt, gait belt and all of your class room supplies. The students are also encouraged to come to the "skills lab" to practice prior to their exam and to call us with any questions or concerns. Customer Service is number one with N.W. Pathways NAC Training Center.
