Cello lessons with Alex

Introduction: Ive been very fortunate to have had really talented, and compassionate teachers. Each of them had a very unique approach to teaching and this instilled a varied approach to teaching in me. Ultimately I like to think that my teaching is unique to the needs of each of my students. I love helping a student solve a problem. My early years as a cello student I always felt like I fell into that bin of people with more raw talent than know-how and this created great frustrations when I would try to problem solve issues in my playing. I valued the "tricks" and concepts my teachers shared with me that help me get past this challenge in my own development. I appreciate being able to cut some of that frustration out of my students lives. Also I believe that if you get started with very good teaching and good habits it will save you so much time in the long run.
