Introduction: Pheasant Wood Catering is a full-service catering company serving the Greater Sacramento metro area. The owner, Chef Timothy, utilizes his 26 years of experience as a restaurant, hotel, corporate, and catering chef along with an experienced staff to meet and then exceed the needs of each customer by discovering their unique vision for their event. Our chefs and staff work hard in planning, preparation and serving of many types of popular cuisines in buffet, hors d'oeuvre, boxed lunches, and plated style events with the goal of providing affordable elegance. We can provide just about all equipment as well as specialty services like bartending for all kinds of events. We have catered hundreds of events, from fund-raisers to winery tastings, private parties, store openings, school functions, weddings, award dinners, and corporate- and government-sponsored events from a few dozen to over 500 guests. where do I even begin. Timothy and his crew were AWESOME! My father and I came up with a menu and Timothy and his crew had no problem serving up exactly what we wanted! Every person there thought the food was delicious! Him and his crew were truly the nicest people, very friendly faces and very warm and kind personalities! I would hire them again and again!
Also they were on time and my in laws forgot to leave the house unlocked ( where the reception was at ) and instead of turning away and saying well we tried, he went around back and entered the unlocked back door, to get it all done. I am so happy he decided to do that! if i had the caterer bail out, i have no idea what I would do! thanks a million timothy and crew!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Chef Tim with Pheasant Wood Catering for our wedding this last October. From the beginning to end he was very professional and we were blown away at his attention to detail, his experience, his kindness and overall knowledge of wedding catering. Almost a year before our wedding, he came to our house (where the venue would be), made us dinner as a tasting of his food and spent the evening talking about his company, background, experience, how he would work in our home kitchen and organize the day and also got to know us and what we were looking for our wedding day. He asked great questions and really got to know us and our vision. His menu selection was extensive and the food was delicious. He even supplied all the rental napkins, table linens, silverware, glassware, plates and offered to also rent and coordinate the table and chair deliveries for our backyard wedding. Our package also included alcohol for the evening (2 signature cocktails, wine and beer). He met with us the week before to review last minute details, the schedule and any other questions we had. This was so helpful for us and made us feel assured that he had everything covered. He came the night before to set up the tables and food stations, the bar and all the linens and reviewed last minute details. He was also very punctual at responding to emails and calls which we greatly appreciated. He arrived early for set up on the day of the wedding and even helped set up the centerpieces, the smore's bar and ice cream bar. He communicated well with the DJ/MC to make sure the night flowed smoothly. The food was served according to schedule and he did an excellent job estimating how much food we needed for 150 people (we only had a couple trays left over and didn't run out of any food). I would have given 5/5 stars except there were a couple of things that fell through the cracks. We were disappointed at the fact that we ran out of vodka for the signature cocktail 1.5 hours into the evening. We had to have some friends run to Costco to get more. However we had more than enough wine and beer for the entire evening (6 hours total with 150 guests). So as a recommendation, make it very specific if your guests are more beer/wine or cocktail drinkers. Another disappointment was that the bartender he hired was making the Moscow Mules incorrectly and a guest had to correct him. My father in law also said that the bar area was very messy the next morning and there were over 50 bottle caps thrown on the ground which we had to pick up. Lastly, we think that he committed to too many requests from us and that's why some things fell through the cracks. The disposable cameras never made it on to the tables for our guests, the catering staff never brought the additional ice cream or whipped cream to our ice cream bar and the cookies never made it out to the smore's bar. If he didn't commit to so many requests then we would have hired extra help to make sure those little details were taken care of. With that said, Chef Tim is a phenomenal chef with delicious food and is very professional, punctual and truly cares about his clients and we overall had a very position experience with him. Without him our wedding wouldn't have been as wonderful as it was. He truly went above and beyond to make sure everything came together. Just make sure you communicate about the alcohol situation or just purchase extra liqueur if you're nervous about running out.

I had a very unique event that Pheasant Wood Catering provided food and beverage for. It was a large party and Chef Timothy was very flexible and accommodating for the special food and alcohol order that my event needed. He was well-informed, involved, and patient throughout the whole process. Overall he was easy to work with and really went out of his way to make the event a success. We certainly didn't make it easy on him, but the services provided were amazing!

Chef Tim and Pheasant Wood Catering made our wedding day absolutely perfect! There was not one single thing my husband and I had to worry about during our special day. Leading up to our wedding, Chef Tim was extremely professional and ensured he had all of the details/information he needed to make our day a success. Most importantly, the quality of the food that was served was amazing. All of our guests were more than impressed by the quality of food and service. I highly recommend using Pheasant Wood Catering for any special event!
