- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I like to provide an initial quote that can be revised as I understand more about the customer's needs. I always start with a phone call so I know exactly what is needed and the customer knows exactly what he or she gets for the price we agree on. My final price depends on the amount of time the project will take me to complete.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a 15-minute phone conversation with a new customer. On that call, I explain how I work and answer any questions the customer might have. If there's a match, we agree upon the fee, create a timeline and deadline for the completed work, and begin promptly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a PhD in Psychology and over 20 years of experience helping people with their careers. I have a very strong background in resume-writing, interview coaching, and teaching presentation skills. I have worked at Apple Computer, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Sonoma State University. For the past 10 years I have had my own business helping people find jobs, change careers, and start their own businesses.
