FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would say that when you are price shopping be very careful. Unfortunately, there are way too many new companies in this industry right now and because there isn't any organization per se to control the quality of the installation or work ethics, I've had many customers who got scammed by other companies either by getting their countertops installed with a lower quality granite or they couldn't match the seams, or they did the cutouts wrong or even took the deposit and filed bankruptcy. So make sure that when you are comparing companies, also compare their qualifications. Also, make sure to ask how long they have been in this business, this is very important. Make sure to ask for a valid construction license. Anybody in this business needs a contractor's A license to fabricate. There are lot of subcontractors who don't have the right type of license or insurance where they will install it for cheap but can't guarantee the work. Since you are investing thousands of dollars, you should know that if the installation doesn't come out right it can cost you hundreds or thousands of dollars to repair or maintain the quality once it's installed. I've had many customer, unfortunately, way too many customers recently, who came back and paid few more thousand dollars out of their pocket to get their countertops installed properly by us. So be very careful and don't get scammed. Just because someone has a website, it doesn't mean that they actually have a fabrication shop and showroom. Also, reviews are very important as well. Make sure to check on that as well. Hope this helps! Sofia
