My system had stopped working. I needed a capable and reliable company to address the problem. SCC was the first company to which I was referred and I was so impressed that I went with them. John came out to look at my 18 month old air handler, which was making noise on the heat cycle. Although the blower fan is a variable speed fan, he thought that it was not wired correctly. After paying a couple hundred for him to rewire it, nothing was fixed. He then wanted to flush and replace my refrigerant for over a thousand dollars. Without asking he even priced out a brand new unit for almost three thousand. I had a second opinion that came out and realized I just had too much refrigerant, in my line which was building up the pressure in air handler during the heat cycle. This pressure would then turn trigger my reversing valve over and over again making the noise. The second opinion only charged me a minimal fee for the diagnosis since no parts or new refrigerant was needed. Now my system works fine. Always get a second opinion.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes we have a flat rate Pricing Guide for service repairs and replacement equipment options. We offer 20% discount offers to Service Contract members for service repairs and 10% on equipment replacement. As well as, Military, Senior Citizens and Government discounts.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with a new customer is to receive as much information from the customer about the problem(s), analysis the issue to determine the best resolve and provide a solution.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the career of HVAC for 16 years and completed several trainings in Business Ethics & Senior Care, Air Time 500 Technical Excellence and NATE certification for residential applications. That includes gas, heat pumps, A/C and installation. I also have knowledge in building codes, and management of large scale projects.
