I have received instruction from some of the best contemporary masters of our time. I have shown in major galleries and been in shows with the biggest names in the West Coast art scene. I have been teaching art for about 6 years (2 at the college level and about 4 at the secondary level as well as private lessons). I have mentored a young post grad who was then accepted to all the MFA programs to which I was asked to recommend him. He accepted the one that offered him a full scholarship and student teaching position. He was the only incoming candidate to Indiana University with a BA instead of a BFA. My skill base is quite broad. I have taught 2D design, 3D design and mixed media painting. My personal favorite medium is oil, which I like to use on copper plate. I have a very special skill set. I can paint; I can draw. I can sculpt, and I can teach, but my greatest skill set is that I can understand through observation. I analyze the world and the people around me and understand, and I use my art to communicate truth that I discover through observation. Because I am self-reflective and analytically minded, I am able to break down what I have discovered and communicate it in a meaningful way. I would like to come and do that with you.
