FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I completed a 9 month internship with the wedding venue, Ashton Gardens. During this internship, I realized I had found my calling and what I love to do. Since then I have coordinated a few weddings on my own.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Before hiring a wedding coordinator, always check with your wedding venue and ask if they already provide one. The case is that about half the venues do, and the other half do not. Do not assume they do, and do not assume that you can coordinate a wedding by yourself. Both make for a very stressful day.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I understand the importance of knowing when there's a time for play and a time for business. As a wedding coordinator, I like to make my brides comfortable by getting to know them, speaking about my past weddings, and occasionally getting them to laugh. Once we start talking about business though, I become an absolute professional.
