FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour. Pretty cut and dry. I can look at a project and pretty much tell how much time it will involve, but I had rather stick to the hourly rate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My continuing education continues every day. I learn the most from my clients. There are some things that just can't be taught. Ex: Taste, humility, patience, understanding and COLOR!! There have been many times when I end up being a counselor because a person is just spending money to fill an empty hole. I had rather turn down a job and just lend an ear than have someone upset because the end result was not the real need.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I actually fought this tooth and nail! Haha! Having a degree in Mass Communications, I saw myself as a broadcaster. When that didn't pan out, I began doing voice over work. During that time, I was asked by friends to help them with their homes. One thing led to another and here I am 30 plus years later making lives more beautiful. I still do voice work and have a studio in my home. Just two of my many passions.
