FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We believe HVAC pricing should be straightforward and fair. At Prantl Heating | Cooling, our technicians are **not paid commissions**, so their job is to diagnose the problem and give you honest options—not sell you something you don't need. We provide upfront pricing before work begins and explain your options so you can make an informed decision. For system replacements, we offer solutions at several price points, along with financing options for qualified customers. We also offer free estimates on replacement systems and are happy to provide a second opinion if you've already received a diagnosis or quote from another HVAC company. We're locally owned, so we're focused on earning a customer for the long term—not maximizing the value of one service call.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with listening. When you contact Prantl Heating | Cooling, we'll ask a few questions about what you're experiencing and schedule the right technician for the job. Our technician will evaluate your system, diagnose the problem, and explain what they found in plain English. Whenever possible, we'll give you options rather than telling you there's only one solution. And because our technicians don't earn commissions, there's no financial incentive for them to recommend a more expensive repair or replacement. If replacement makes more sense, we'll help you select a properly sized system based on your home, comfort goals, budget, efficiency preferences, and long-term plans—not simply replace your old equipment with whatever happens to be sitting in the warehouse. Our goal is simple: solve the problem, treat you fairly, and earn the opportunity to be the HVAC company you call next time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
HVAC technology has changed dramatically, and ongoing training is extremely important to us. Prantl Heating | Cooling is a **Trane Comfort Specialist and Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Contractor**, which requires manufacturer-specific training and a commitment to high standards for installation and service. Our team has experience servicing, repairing, and installing traditional air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, packaged systems, ductless mini-splits, whole-home ducted inverter systems, indoor air quality equipment, and commercial HVAC systems. We continually invest in technical and manufacturer training because today's high-efficiency and variable-speed HVAC systems require considerably more knowledge than simply knowing how to replace parts. We believe great HVAC service comes from combining experienced technicians with continuous training and the right diagnostic tools.
