With a background in Business Administration, plus minor in Photography (BSC '12), Dustin is classically trained in composition, color, and brand narrative campaigns. Dustin understands artistry and strategy and brings his unique style to every project. He has perfect color vision, a sharp eye for "The Decisive Moment" and is great at finding candid moments worth remembering, and the business sense to deliver professional, fun, highly recognizable visual value.
Dustin’s studio was the Official Media Photography Partner for the Birmingham World Games, hiring 13 local photographers to cover the world-class event. Has worked tournament branding jobs for several PGA TOUR events. He’s also known as a preferred photography partner for editorial work, portraits, and events, and also runs an event-based and high-volume portrait booths.
When he’s not photographing for events and brands, Dustin handcrafts fine-art prints in his downtown studio. He can bring his artwork to events if that would enhance your guest's experience - also available for pre-purchased gift giving.

Dustin charges based on three criterion: Production, Creative, and Licensing. These fees may be invoiced individually or included as one lump sum.
Production = Internal Cost of Doing Business: gear, software, insurance needed; times of work, travel, assistants & labor, etc.
Creative = Dustin Massey Studios creativity rated to maintain a successful business model: Dustin's professional qualifications ensuring you efficient, robust, world-class creativity; number of images delivered.
Licensing = How & Where Your Images will be used: Riders added for additional uses outside of 'Standard Commercial' or 'Standard Personal' - like "Large Print Display for 1 Year".
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Dustin likes to ensure he has a full comprehension of your work before offering a proposal. Often, leads can expect a phone consultation before fully booking.
Once booked, Dustin will ensure quality levels of communication all the way through our production date to invoice being cleared to the final customer review.

Dustin was classically trained, receiving a minor in Photography at Birmingham-Southern College. He has spent 13 years perfecting his craft with access to industry-leading mentors, their educationals and courses, as well as a working background in development and hospitality to ensure friendly client experiences.
