I hired this contractor through Thumbtack to clear weeds on the slope area, remove roots, brush, and small rocks, level the ground, and haul away debris so the area would be ready for mulch. We agreed on a total price of $250. During the job, the contractor tried to change the scope by adding work in a different area and requested additional charges, while the original slope area work was not completed as agreed. Many weeds and roots were still left, and the ground was not properly prepared for mulch. The contractor also missed the scheduled appointment. Because the job was not completed as agreed, I had to finish a large part of the work myself. Communication became difficult toward the end.
