I called and a man came out and looked at the 2 doors. One was a pocket door that is stuck and hardly moves. Another door was a folding door and needs the top needs to be reinstalled. The estimate that was given was $1,000. He said he would deduct the $60 that I paid for him to come out. I was stunned. Of course I did not hire them.

Nick Bates did several jobs for me and my now deceased husband. Before my husband got sick and could no longer work, he had his own home improvement/carpentry contracting business. As always, my husband would inspect every job done on our house and he was VERY PLEASED with Nick's work. My husband said, "That fellow knows what he's doing." So knowing my husband's high standard, I was very comfortable and highly satisfied with all of Nick's work on our home projects...so much so that I am about to hire him for several of my home projects this year.
