FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I bid jobs after seeing the project and require 10% to begin the job, this is all anyone should pay a contractor before beginning a project. We both know the scope of expected payment. Changes to the project then become time & materials with a $45hr. rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Hopefully see a photograph first but there is no cost for coming out to the customer to bid the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a seaman in the US Navy and learned the hard way how to operate a needle gun and paint metal. I later was trade educated as an industrial painter when I lived full time in Denmark 1997-01. I became a licensed & insured California painting & decorating contractor doing exterior/interior residential painting with a 6 man crew. I became SSPC certified in Marine Coatings and an expert in rust remediation coatings. I am a EPA lead safe certified contractor.
