- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing structure will always be fair and reasonable, and I will often discount my fees for exciting or interesting projects.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe that the more I understand about you and your needs, the better job I can do on your writing or editing project. My writing, done on your behalf, should be in your voice and tone, and delivering your thoughts and message--not mine.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have earned the following degrees: MA in Mass Communications/Journalism/PR (Kent State, 2016, 4.0 GPA) MA in English (University of North Alabama, 2010, 4.0 GPA) BS in English/Professional Writing (University of North Alabama, 1992) Writing has been a lifelong passion, and I have written professionally since 1995 when I wrote on a freelance basis for our local newspaper. For the last ten years I worked for a community bank in Human Resources (employee relations) and Communications roles. As a Communications Officer for six years, I was responsible for creating, editing or proofreading virtually all internal or external communications. I created and managed the bank's social media channels, created and managed the first blog, and wrote all of the content for the website, in addition to creating marketing materials, emails, letters, shareholder communications, etc.
