Matt went above and beyond expectations. We absolutely enjoyed our time with him and he gave a great show for us and all of our guests.Nov 1, 2020Verified

Matt was excellent! Our parties theme was an old fashioned Christmas Carol. Matt researched what magicians of that time period did and followed along those guideline. He has a great personality and was great at what he does.Dec 12, 2016Verified

We had my daughter’s 6th birthday party with lots of kids and parents at our house. Matt was great with the strolling magic - very impressive and fun for all! Was great for the kids 20 minute show (strolling magic was 40 minutes up until that). Was super patient as it was such a young crowd but they were wowed and my daughter and friends felt so special to take turns being his helper! Was such a hit!!Dec 11, 2019Verified

He was able to accommodate my party last minute. He was flexible with a rowdy crowd and a pleasure to be around, but despite all the talking, he kept his show to an hour (started at 7:37 - stopped at 8:37). His science, history, and mentalist magic tricks were very cool and well done outside from the card tricks, which he messed up on due to not describing directions well and the participants not following directions well. He understandably got flustered when the card tricks did not go well, but ended the show with a poorly executed card trick rather than on a high point. Overall, I think he is a very good magician, and I recommend him. I do think his quote was very expensive, but considering the travel and bring able accommodate this request last minute, I understand the price point.Feb 18, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? For strolling magic and formal close-up shows, I have a standard one hour or two hour fee. Different time frames are quoted as needed. I also have several wedding packages depending on if you just need reception entertainment or you would also like some entertainment during the rehearsal dinner and/or bachelor and bachelorette parties. Customized presentations requiring the creation of new magic are also quoted as needed. There is also a small mileage fee for travel outside of a 30 mile radius of Huntsville, AL.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? After I have confirmed that I am available for the date in question, ask the client what is the nature of their event and about how many guest they are expecting. Then, I get an idea of what their expectations for entertainment are to make sure that what I do is a good fit. If they are local and have not seen me perform before, we can arrange a quick face to face meeting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a long standing member of both The Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Also, several years experience in community theater as an actor, member of tech crew and assistant director of major productions.
