FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I give clear, flat-rate pricing up front that already includes my time, basic consumables (screws, caulk, tape, etc.), and the work described. No hidden fees and no surprise charges at the end. For smaller jobs I quote a fixed price; for longer lists I offer a flat “rent a handyman for the day” rate so you can knock out multiple items without watching the clock. I require a deposit of 50% for any job over $1,000. If something unexpected comes up that changes the scope, I stop and talk to you before any extra cost is added.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You reach out with what you need done. I ask a few clarifying questions, look at photos or stop by if needed, then give you a clear price and timeline in writing. Once we agree, you put down a deposit or we lock in a payment agreement, I schedule the work, and I show up when I say I will. I do the job, clean up after myself so the place is better than I found it, and we settle the balance when the work is finished. Communication stays simple and direct the whole way.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold an OSHA 30 certification along with First Aid/CPR and other job-site safety training. I also completed the Alabama home inspectors training course. One of the most valuable parts of that training was learning to look past the obvious broken part and ask how the problem started in the first place. Instead of just replacing what’s failed, I focus on understanding the underlying issue so the repair actually lasts. That foundation, combined with years of hands-on estimating, job-site coordination, and real repair work, shapes how I approach every project.
