Brenda has worked for me on several occasions over the past twelve months. I've been developing a High End Web site devoted to Luxury Lifestyle and High End Art (ArtChateau.com and we will be on line later this year). Brenda has done some fantastic graphic design and developed an Issuu magazine for my site. She is a great listener and has always given me a wonderful product that will compliment my web site. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing structure is not complicated. I charge by the hour for basic services, or by the project for more complicated or long-term projects. I give discounts on pricing if the project goes over a certain amount of hours or if contracted for a certain number of hours per week, month, or quarter.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a life-long learner. I am currently pursing my MBA in Project Management. In addition, I attend online webinars that keep me up-to-date on best practices in marketing, social media, content marketing, design trends, and more. I am always searching for ways to better prepare myself for my client's needs.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in graphic design at a young age and was essentially self-taught in Photoshop and Illustrator. As I continued in my career, I've chosen formal education that complemented my work experience, trying to fill in any gaps that would best fit my client needs. I felt comfortable as a graphic designer, so I chose to do a Bachelor's degree in Communications with an emphasis in public relations and advertising. As I progressed, I added an MA in Marketing with emphasis in Social Media and Project Management. I'm now pursuing by MBA in Project Management for more long-term and technical projects, as well as statistical and financial analysis for my client projects.
