- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am honest and fair. I really do my best to provide quality, fast service that fits their schedule and be environmentally conscious as well as support local charities with what I receive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will give an inside free estimate when possible or a contingent quote based on information they provide. If agreed we schedule a time and I will arrive with the equipment needed and load and be gone as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started by accident really. I was contacted by someone who needed some items hauled to the dump so I said I would do it since I have a truck and trailer. Of the items they wanted taken to the landfill I saw that about 75% could be either donated, recycled or repurposed. After checking I saw that there was a need for this type of service in this area so I decided I could do two good things: Provide a needed service; and find someplace other than the landfill for as much of what I pick up as possible. I enrolled at Thumbtack and another lead providing service to get some exposure.
