Designs on A Dime and Polished to Perfection

I began years ago, wanting to redecorate my own home. I was on a tight budget. I took furniture from certain rooms and put in others that you would not think would ordinarily go. I also visited garage sales, took hand me downs, often times took broken things, and made something completely new! I eventually had a brand new home. Everyone who visited was certain that I had a professional do it. Little did they know! Going into people's homes and taking what they have and placing things differently began to be one of my most favorite hobbies. Starting at a very young age, my mother made my sister and I clean every Saturday morning before we could have our allowance and "go out". She expected nothing, but the best, including baseboards, vacuuming furniture, etc. Now, I am in my forties, and am the same way with my children. It has almost become an obsession. I can do other things with peace of mind knowing my house is spotless!
