FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I know everyone is curious about money, but there are typically so many differences and variables with everyone's needs, that it usually makes sense to talk first and discover as much about the client's needs before throwing a price out there. Everything is tailored to suit the person and situation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to give a "ballpark figure" for a project if possible. Then I really like to get as much information from the client as possible to help determine the proper direction to go and whether the client and I are a good fit for each other. After that, payment arrangements and timeframes can be agreed upon and then I will start the project and communicate as needed with the client. Trust, positive attitudes, and professional communication are key for all parties involved in working together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in Mass Communication. I also have two masters degrees in Organizational Leadership (M.S. and M.Div.). I have taught at the university level for a number of years and have corporate training in consulting and coaching. I have been a motivational speaker for more than 20 years. A lot of what I learn is also through self-study; I am continually updating my skills. Business owners must learn and adapt constantly.
