Hugo and his father are incredible! Kind, helpful, very honest and really good at wood and furniture staining and re-finishing, measuring cabinets, and many more wood-centric jobs. They have great experience at ordering cabinets, and they have excellent all around knowledge. We highly recommend The Master's Touch!

Hugo and his father Pedro did an amazing job on our cabinets in our kitchen. They took the doors home to sand, sanded the cupboards and then painted them white. We didn’t even need to empty our cabinets when they did the painting. They were very careful and didn’t get paint on the new counters or other appliances. My husband and I were very concerned that the cabinet doors would get dirty easily and would get scratched up. We have two dogs that jump on the cupboard doors from time-to-time so this thought made us nervous. Also my husband were concerned he would see brush strokes in the wood, which ended up not being an issue. The paint was sprayed on and the cabinets are super smooth. Hugo and Pedro convinced us that since our cupboards were oak and their process would guarantee us everything would come out fine. Honestly the kitchen looks better than I could have ever imaged. I would definitely recommend these two to anyone! Both of them were very polite, easy to talk to, and simply happy/good people. They came in January and worked on the cabinets and it’s now in the middle of May and the cabinets look just as new as when they were first finished. Some places won’t start right away and you have to wait months for them to begin. Hugo and Pedro were just finishing up a couple of other projects and were able to fit us into their schedule that next week. They kept in contact with us all the time to let us know the status of everything. Take note though that when it comes to construction schedules change and life happens so best to be easy going. Cost wise, very inexpensive!! From start to finish the job was completed in under 2 weeks. And most importantly we trusted them in our house.

Hugo and team worked on my property doing a major renovation for approximately 4 months. The project morphed over time with many projects being added on. For each, Hugo presented a formal quote and invoice. Very professional. When things didn’t turn out quite right on some aspects, Hugo stood up to make everything right until he was personally happy with the work, but also was great to check in with me on how I was feeling about the work constantly. Through a large project with many unplanned setbacks as anyone would expect doing a renovation, Hugo maintained composure and worked diligently through every issue. Work ethic- Hugo and team had an unmatched work ethic- driving two hours both ways daily for weeks on end, he would always arrive when he was expected and worked many long hours trying to meet important deadlines, often putting his own needs aside. I would recommend Hugo for any project. If he doesn’t know how to do something, he can typically figure it out and do research. He is a “modern” handyman/construction professional in that he uses all the tools (google, apps, High tech measuring laser, etc.) at his disposal to get the job done and done to his client’s satisfaction.

70 years of combined experience!! That’s true education!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Well, I’m a 3rd generation carpenter. My grandpa taught my dad, and my dad taught me. I love working with wood. Although wood work is our specialty, doing things right the 1st time is also part of our core values. If we don’t like the finished product we can’t put “The Master’s Touch” name on it.
