- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our typical process is finding out what the students needs are and what has driven them to step into a gym. Secondly we go through basics and fundamentals and get a good starting point to understand their athleticism their natural abilities and also their deficiencies. Based on that information we can put a plan in place for them to place realistic goals ahead of themselves and find a way to achieve them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been teaching in this field for over 10 years and I was a certified personal trainer for a number of years as well. I've tried multiple professional and amateur champions in mixed martial arts and in boxing. My college years were spent on business classes but my experience in my field comes not from the classroom but from actually doing it in the gym and in the ring.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fought and trained for a number of years and through the natural progression I started working with other younger fighters and friends of mine. As time went on it turned out I was a better Coach than I ever was a fighter and I naturally progressed into a leadership role among my peers. so after about eight years of that I took that experience and opened up my own gym in 2016 and have continued coaching ever since.
