Melissa was THE sweetest to work with! She takes her time with taking the right photos, she is very comfortable to be around, and tell you how to pose and everything! You just tell her what you want and she captures it! Loved working with her and may work with her again in the future! Thanks for doing my engagement and wedding photos! :)

I pick with my husband every year that I'm just going to wrap myself up in a bow and I will be your present for valentines but this year I was able to do that, literally, and Melissa made that happen with my boudoir shoot. She made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. I was able to pose how I wanted and feel that she understood my insecurities. After having children as a woman our bodies become our biggest enemy with the new "mommy stripes" as I call them and maybe a little extra weight we stray from showing off our hidden treasures. I thank her for bringing mine out of me and allowing me to do so. I will use her again. I can't wait until he sees them.

When we began searching for a wedding photographer, I felt overwhelmed. A majority of good quality photographers have prices through the roof! Luckily, a friend of mine recommended Melissa, and I'm so happy she did. She is super professional, affordable, and talented. She met me for coffee before I even booked her to talk about our wedding and what we were looking for. I could tell that she cared about our story, the style of our wedding, and all the little details. I loved that she even sent us little surprises after booking her. Melissa plans amazing engagement shoots where the couples get to know her before their weddings. Not only did that allow us to loosen up in front of her, but she captured some sweet images. But most importantly, She was amazing on our wedding day! We had a rainy wedding, but defineitly impressed me by staying positive and quick on her feet. We could not be happier with the photographs from our wedding. She truly has been blessed with a great eye for photography. I've already suggested her to some of my friends, and even those pictures came out amazing!! ❤❤

Had a recent gender reveal photo shoot and it went amazing!! Met Melissa in person in advance and discussed what we wanted she brought great ideas to the table wasn't disappointed what so ever; ( and let me mention I am beyond a picky person lol, so for me to say that is a lot) she is very detailed; always fixing things and bending over backwards just to get the perfect shot. Great attitude, very professional; I felt super comfortable with her from the get go. She's very creative and a people person something that you definitely need in this line of business. For all that she does for the price she charges is phenomenal the pictures came out beautiful; I would book her again no doubt about it !! Thanks again:)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my shoots have a standard starting price set at $100. Usually depending on what the client wants, needs, location etc we go up from there. Each session comes complete with 20 edited shots (others take a little more and that’s fine) the biggest thing is I also do not set a time limit on sessions, I do not like to work with a time constraint because for some it takes a little longer to get comfortable, or if there are kids involved it varies.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with my customers and get to know a little bit about them and what ideas they have for their session. I feel it is necessary to build some type of friendship or cordial relationship to be able to remove any awkward feelings or anonymity from any sessions. I am very friendly and this helps make the customer feel more relaxed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Like mentioned above, I started working at the age of 16. I am now 23 years old with a little over 6 years of experience behind the lens. Aside from photography, I have my Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice & Criminology from Arizona State University. Having worked while also being a full time student has molded me into a responsible, adult. I work well under pressure and will give my 110% with everything that I do.
