FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into welding when I was in the 4th grade. My dad would bring me to work with him and I would make these castles I would call them. I just took little cutoff pieces of scrap and stuck them together. By the way, that is why they call stick welding, " Stick Welding ". If your amps are too low, your rod will stick to the steel and you leave a lot of chicken scratches.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If I were a customer, I would look to see if there were any bad comments about the welder to see if the details were half-assed which means they were in a hurry to finish and get paid, which is intolerable. I would also want to see certifications enen tho I know a bunch of guys that are certified but their welds look bad. I have more than a few certfications but I am different than everybody else. I am kinda a perfectionist. Like an artist and his work of art.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish that the customer knew from the beginning how flexible I am and that this work is like art. You are creating a masterpiece and we as 2 people can get it done to both our satisfaction, easily.
