I asked Preston to fill a sunken living room with concrete to make it level with the rest of the flooring. At first I thought it was good and paid him no problem. But a few weeks later when my flooring guys came to install flooring on top of the concrete, they said it had moved and air had gotten between the old concrete and the new concrete Preston poured. They said he either used the wrong kind of concrete or didn't use a primer - both mistakes that a concrete contractor should know. When I reached out to him multiple times, he never responded. Then I called the phone number he had me zelle the payment to, and the person who answered said he didn't know anyone by that name and he had no idea what I was talking about. Now I have to pay another contractor to come tear Preston's concrete out and pour new concrete. I would have been better off never hiring Preston in the first place and just going with someone else since now I have to pay double to have the work done twice. And the fact that he won't respond to me now that something is wrong is completely unprofessional. I understand making a mistake, but then please come out to fix it.
