I met Ella this past July 4th weekend for my first horseback riding lesson. She was quite the chatterbox, instructing me in the ways of a horse and how to handle those massive creatures. She gave me a lot of useful knowledge and I am looking forward to my next riding lesson. I highly recommend Ella.
I started riding lessons two years ago with no prior experience. The past two years training with Tanya has increased my skill level and confidence tremendously. Tanya is a very experienced rider and instructor. She observes my progress, provides clear instruction, and continues to improve my skills. And she makes the whole experience fun! Tanya will also provide the "total horse experience" if that is something you might want. For me this includes grooming my horse before and after riding, saddling and bridling. I now know the basics of horse care and equipment. I highly recommend Tanya for any experience level and age!
I have worked with Anysa many years she is a wonderful person. She is a great teacher for horseback riding.
My first time using Thumbtack and it was a success!! Yvonne responded to me the same day and was happy to work with my schedule. I've been taking lessons with her for about 4 weeks now and I absolutely love it! Her horses are amazing and she is the best instructor I have ever had. She's very patient, kind, and knowledgeable in every aspect of riding and horsemanship. I have already learned so much from Yvonne in a short time and look forward to my lessons each week!! 5 stars isn't enough!!
My daughter is 7 years old and learning English Riding. Linda really empowers her to be an independent rider that is responsible for her horse and her learning. My daughter counts the days until her next lesson.
I have known Stacey for over 12 years now. She trained my daughter who is now 25 for a number of years when she was younger and led her to be 2nd in AZYQHA in the state at 12 years old. I recently in last 3 years have reconnected with her to take lessons and have bought my own horse with her help. She works with me and my horse. I trust her completely with mine and my horse’s training and welfare. She is extremely knowledgeable about all facets of riding, showing, care and breeding. She has a great demeanor as I have found that many trainers are gruff and rough around the edges. She always has a smile and a positive attitude. I recommend that whatever level you are at, she will be great to work with.
Breana is awesome. She works really well with my niece and teaches exactly what we were asking for (and more!) I feel like my niece is getting the full experience of horsemanship and riding, and it's way more than we would have found through any of the busier company-run lessons. We contacted a lot of riding instructors and companies before finding Silver's Riding Lessons and none of them were willing to offer what we wanted my niece to learn. Breana listened to what we wanted and worked out a lesson plan that incorporates exactly what we talked about. On top of that, her technique incorporates learning to bond with the horse and communicate. It's exactly what we needed.
My granddaughter loves going to Stacie's and learning how to ride Star. Best experience for any child highly recommend them.
I can't say enough good things about Meagan! I am a total beginner and she has been very patient in explaining everything from tack and grooming questions to proper body positions for both me and the horse. She promotes safety first - for the rider and horse. Love taking lessons with her!
Because lessons are private lessons, the focus is always on the individual student. Teaching the student how to have a balanced seat is crucial to having a balanced and safe ride. My students all do well in their riding ability and it is evident when one watches them ride. It is rewarding to see them progress from week to week in their horsemanship skills. As I have said, "the difference is in the ride." Plus, my students learn how to safely groom and saddle the horse, and lead the horse. Everything in their lesson is designed to help the student grow in their own personal development while also developing a close and loving relationship with the horse, and learning how to ride with balance at the walk, trot, and canter. I truly love working with all of my students, including my students with special needs. It is a thrill to see them progress from week to week and grow in their self-esteem and self-confidence. Through the horses, I am able to make a positive impact on my students' lives and their families that I know will have a profound affect on their futures. When I am asked what I do for fun, my reply is "my work."
I teach Western riding, with a focus on understanding your horse and your relationship with him/her. I also provide instructions on care, diet, kinetics, training and troubleshooting issues with your animal. I am a licensed BSN in AZ and MI and I also work with disabled students and horses, providing an opening for the development of a mutually beneficial relationship between the horse and rider. In the course lessons, I am including some minor work about care maintenance and repair of tack and out buildings. I believe that providing students with a thorough understanding of their animal's psychological and physiological response to his environment and various stimuli in it gives them a solid ground that provides them with all they will need to continue happily working with their animal long after I'm gone.

We offer horseback riding lessons from beginners to advanced experience. You will learn to work with the horse's safety from the ground up. We think it is important to be able to groom and saddle on your own to be comfortable around the horse. We work with learning the basic riding skills, controlling the horse at a walk and trot and progress from there. Our riders experience pleasure trail riding and can go into learning rodeo events such as barrel racing and roping.
I focus on teaching foundation riding skills. If you understand "why" you are asking a horse to do a movement, then it is easier to communicate your requests to the horse. If you can do a great walk, then you will have an easier time doing a great trot, which makes it easier to do a great canter. I believe in building to every level and using the confidence you achieve with each success to fuel the next success.

I've been on horseback for about 50 years now. I enjoy sharing what I've learned over the years with new riders. We work in a laid back atmosphere which is good for the animals. You'll enjoy your time with us.. I like to teach riders about the horses starting with what motivates your horse to want to please his human.. I teach as much about the animals as I can. That knowledge alone can help a rider to know whbeginer In any situation. Seeing beginners learning to communicate with their horse and applying the things they learned is truly amazing! Knowing how to get through tough spots with you and your horse working In unison and staying safe is our goal.
