FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the size of the project, the condition of the surfaces, the amount of prep work needed, and the level of detail required. I aim to keep my rates fair and competitive while still delivering quality work and clean results. I provide clear written estimates before starting, so you know exactly what’s included — labor, prep, minor repairs, and cleanup. There are no hidden fees. If the project scope changes, I always discuss it with you first before adding any extra cost. Small jobs may have a minimum service charge due to travel and setup time. Larger projects can qualify for package pricing or bundled discounts when multiple areas are completed together. If materials are supplied by me, they are listed separately. If you provide the materials, I can help you choose the right products so you don’t overspend or buy the wrong type. My goal is transparent pricing, no surprises, and good value for the work delivered.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process starts with a quick conversation to understand exactly what the customer needs — the type of work, size of the area, timeline, and any special requests. If possible, I review photos or schedule a visit so I can see the condition of the space and give an accurate estimate. Next, I provide a clear written quote that explains the scope of work, what’s included in prep and cleanup, materials responsibility (who buys paint or supplies), and how long the job should take. Once approved, I schedule the job and confirm details before starting. On the work day, I protect floors and furniture, complete all prep first, then move to repair, prime, and finish coats as needed. I keep the customer updated during the project so there are no surprises. At the end, I walk through the finished work with the customer to make sure everything looks right and address any touch-ups if needed. My goal is clean work, clear communication, and a smooth experience from start to finish.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training comes primarily from hands-on experience and real job site work rather than formal classroom education. I learned through working on residential painting and repair projects, studying professional techniques, and continuously improving my process with each job. Over time I’ve developed skills in surface preparation, drywall patching, caulking, priming, finish application, and detail work, along with general handyman repairs. I also stay updated by following industry best practices, product guidelines, and tool methods to make sure the results are durable and professional. Every project adds to my training — different surfaces, materials, and customer needs — which has helped me build practical, reliable expertise in the field.
