I contacted Solar SME to install a battery backup system. They convinced me to add solar, to claim the tax rebate for the batteries. The system they proposed was pretty simple, and they said it could possibly be completed within a month. Four months later, they tell me that the system the proposed is not possible, even though they assured me that they had experience with the batteries that I purchased. They then told me they wouldn't move forward with the project unless I increased the size, and proceeded to cancel the project because I have decorative stone on my exterior walls. The communication was not great during the process, and not professional.I should also mention that the lithium batteries in the proposed system aren't allowed to be installed in a garage (the planned location) in my county, so this company doesn't know what they're doing.

we truly regret the inconvenience. Unfortunately, APS doesn't approve EcoFlow batteries, and your exterior stone wall prevents installation of required Enphase components like the combiner box. We explored alternate solutions including Hoymiles and Enphase systems, but due to these utility and structural limitations, the project wasn’t feasible. We value transparency and thank you for your time and interest.
