Introduction: We have passion to inspire beginning tennis players up through championship players. I teach the basic strokes and strategies of competitive tennis to help players develop excellence in the game. At each lesson I celebrate seeing players get excited about their growing ability of mastering tennis through learning new skills & stretagies. I enjoy watching players excitement as they mature in each element, developing at times even a zen like state. Players build confidence, valuing the ability to focus, and begin to move beyond their fear to become more graceful, build endurance, embrace their tennis abilities and become more peaceful.

I have been taking lessons from Jim for a year. He has dramatically improved my intermediate play to a lower expert level. We began with subtle shifts in my forehand thru backhand top spin, thru tremendous improvements in my serving, to taking my sad net play into a solid volley strength and most lately into a dynamic backhand slice. Jim has been amazing for my game.

Ted is one of the best tennis instructors in the Valley--for these key reasons: 1) Passion for the game and competitive experience in-state and nationally --great for players seeking to refine and improve their performance. 2) Endless patience with beginners, stemming from his dual capacity as a UCC pastor. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private lessons cost $45 dollars an hour. Two people pay $25 each. Group lessons are $10 dollars per person. (Our no show policy is that if you have agreed to an appointment and do not show without contacting us 24 hours ahead you will pay us for service)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet at the Tennis Courts and introduce ourselves. I have The student hit 10 or so forehands, backhands, and any other strokes you may feel competent to try. Then we stop and talk over what will best meet your needs and goals. Then we begin the lesson. Each session lasts about one hour to an hour and a half according to our contractual agreement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching tennis since 2004. My players have competed in USTA Tournaments and High School state finals and received division one Scholarships. My students become cherished parts of my tennis world. Many of my students keep in contact with me, sharing their continued achievements, failures, and talk with me about their dreams and ambitions, sometimes even in about tennis!
