FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a third generation electrician which takes our family experience back to electrics origin. I find electricity challenging and rewarding and have a sense of pride in my knowledge and trouble shooting skills. Electricity is complicated and it takes years of study and experience to grasp and truly understand how it works. Many companies send out technicians that have knowledge in one aspect of electrical. We are all master electricians.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common call I get is for bad breakers that won't reset. It is important to realize that breakers trip because of heat and will not reset until cool again. Also there is a reset point for each breaker. The breaker needs to be pushed to the off position before resetting. On occasion it will take extreme pressure in the off position to reach the reset point. Don't be afraid to force it off, worst case is you'll have to replace the breaker.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find a local family owned company. The larger national companies tend to cost much more and are typically not located in the area.
