I heard about homefront AC from a friend of mine who said they did a great job. So I called because my AC unit was acting funny and not cooling my house properly, which is not what I need at this time in Arizona. When the guy showed up, he was very polite, and asked if he was okay where he parked, which was next to my driveway, but only blocked my car and not my wife's spot (which was great because she was on her way home from work). I told him about what was going on, and I had previously received a quote from another company who told me that they were going to charge me almost $200 to refill my unit because I had bad refrigerant in it. ( I didn't understand how it was bad because my unit was replaced not too long before I purchased the house). The technician looked over my unit for about 45 to 60 minutes before he told me I just needed a refill of refrigerant but he would only charge me for the price of the refrigerant, which wasn't even close to what I was quoted before. He explained to me that sometimes you just need to add a little bit to your AC, but wanted to make sure I didnt have a leak before doing so and was only going to charge for the work that he was going to perform because he didn't think there was a leak but didn't want to leave incomplete work. I explained to him what the first company had told me, and was informed that because many customers don't know about AC systems, just like cars, they end up paying more than what they actually need to. I asked the gentleman for business cards to pass them out to my friends, and will undoubtedly use them again.
