Introduction: Hello I'm a plumbing contractor and ex us navy seabee just looking to continue to provide a service to my community. I have over 30 years of plumbing experience and knowledge. We have a plumbing business that my family started in 2003 in Southern California. I have to apparently state that I'm not licensed in the state of Arizona, Although we've been in good standing in California for over 20 years and counting... Also I actually enjoy what I do. James is good at plumbing. However, he made too many mistakes installing our shower base, bathtub, and free standing bathtub faucet. The cuts that he made in our subflooring, were not clean cuts and he damaged our subflooring. He could not install the bathtub faucets that we had for the bathtube and had us purchase one that he could install that cost us additional money. He fitted the free standing bathtub faucet on the subfloor and not to sit on our flooring. He cut the hole for the free standing bathtub faucet too big that the screws for the base are attached to the edge of the subfloor. He fitted the bathtub before installing and marked the subfloor for the flooring to go around the bathtub and freestanding faucet. It was clear that when he fitted the bathtub that it would not cover the hole in the floor. This serious mistake also cost us additional money to fix the flooring to cover the bathtub hole after the flooring had been done according to his marks on the subfloor. James did a poor job installing the shower base drain because it is not centered and has excessive sealant around it. The sealant around the bathtub was poorly done and you can see the gaps where sealant should be. He did not communicate any mistakes he made. He knowingly made these serious mistakes and waited for us to say something about it, which is horrible, especially the fitting of the bathtub, freestanding faucet, and shower base drain. He is not to return to our house because it has cost us more money to fix his serious mistakes than having the installation of our shower base and bathtub done by a professional who does it and not by a plumber who says he does it. He should not be installing anything other than plumbing. I recommend him for plumbing. I do not recommend him for installing showers and bathtubs. I do not recommend him for anything other than plumbing.
