FAQs
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The down side of ghostwriting is not only receiving no credit for the work, but not being able to show that particular work. We can only tell you about it without names. Not too long ago, my wife and I were hired to write sort stories for a pet site. One story for each breed of dog. Although they could be fiction in nature, the particular breed's characteristics and personality needed to come through. It took an immense amount of research into the history of each breed before we could even think about being creative. The entire project turned out great and is a main feature of the owner's website.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I've had people tell me, "you have such a way with words." That may be, but I'm not a miracle worker nor am I a writer of perfection. But I do take my writing seriously and strive to really listen to my clients. Writing for someone else is not the same as writing just for me. When I write for a client it must be their thoughts that come through my words. I'm not a doctor nor am I a ball player. But I am a writer, Others are not. There's no shame in admitting that you are not a writer and that you need help with your project. Being a writer is as a real of a profession as any other.
