FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

When my 5th child was born, I had seen some beautiful professional photos done by another photographer, and decided that I wanted to be able to do that with my own children. I've always been a very artistic person, so photography was a good and natural fit for me. I dove in head first and haven't looked back. I opened my business to the public in 2008 and have enjoyed all of the wonderful people I have met and worked with so much!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

LJHolloway Photography has done custom maternity, newborn, baby, child, family and high school senior portrait sessions. All photo sessions are completely 100% customized to suit each individual client's needs and are done on location, with the utmost attention to detail. You will not find a better portrait experience anywhere in Northern Arizona, or Southern Nevada.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When looking to hire a professional photographer to capture your family or child, be sure to look over that photographer's portfolio to make sure that their shooting and editing style is a good fit for what you like. Try to find a photographer who edits in a clean and classic style as this will stand the test of time, and will look just as good 50 years from now as it does today. Ask for referrals! Check out your photographer's reviews. Make sure you are working with a person with a quality reputation and a solid business. While 'cheap' may be appealing at first glance, this is truly one of those professions that 'you get what you pay for.' If you want quality portraiture that will stand the test of time, make quality your first priority and look at this as an investment. If you choose wisely, your children, grandchildren, and beyond will be able to enjoy these photos.
