David with Makana Home Remodeling were the only validated licensed installers that replied to me here on thumbtack. Dispite their most recent bad review, after speaking to him on the phone I felt comfortable that he new what he was doing. I started doing my due diligences. I called about 5 of his references of whom he had done work for. They all had great things to say about the detailed work he and his crew does. One of them even let me visit their home to see their work and I really liked what I saw. I was sold. They installed over 2000 of my hardwood floors which were glued to the concrete for a reasonable price. They even did my stairscase in which I was very pleased with. I would definitely recommend them to you if you are looking for good, honest, clean detailed work.

My brother is a Contractor out of town. He told me to get 3 estimates. Dave came and gave me an estimate. He wasn't the cheapest contractor, but his pictures seem to show the quality of his work and his reviews seemed to be pretty good. He started working on a new house we just bought. First he started installing our wood floors one room at a time until all 1100 sq ft was completed. It took him about 3 days. Everyday I would check on his work and his attention to detail was greatly appreciated.
I purchased some new baseboards from a place he recommend to me that was far cheaper than Home Depot. David picked them up for a small fee. He installed the new baseboards on top the laminate floor. After they were painted and caulked I now could see the difference of his craftsmanship and attention to detail by comparing my existing baseboards the the new one he installed. I seriously thought about removing all the baseboards on our tile to make them look just as good as the one he installed.
We asked him if he could paint 4 rooms in the house: office, daughters room, guest room, and master bedroom. To no surprise, the quality was just as outstanding as everything else he has done so far. There was a problem that we didn't catch prior to painting. There was one wall in our guest room that had wall paper at the top. When it was painted, it caused the wall paper to wrinkle and became noticeable. David removed the wall paper and put some drywall filler, primed and repainted. I could not even tell the repair was done.
Finally we had David remove the doggie door and fix the hole. There were two doggie doors. He patched the two holes and painted. After they were completed, I couldn't even tell that they use to be there in the first place.
I a so appreciative to have found David. His attention to detail, and quality was just outstanding. Everything he said he could do, he has done it with excellence. He is definitely highly skilled in all areas he says he is. I have referred him to my boss and several coworkers. I will also have him paint my other house after we move out and into this one.
Please take advantage of his skilled services. I hear it is hard to find people that do good quality work.

David and his crew did an excellent job removing the the carpet and installing my hardwood floors. He and his crew did an awesome job and I just love my new floors. I definitely would recommend him to anyone that needs wood floors.

I must start by saying that Dave does exceptionally good work. I have used other contractors for previous homes and by far Dave's quality surpasses them all. What I like is that he actually takes part in doing the work and has a helper or two to sped up the process.
He first painted the interior of my home almost 2500 sq ft. He had very straight lines where there was a change of color. He sprayed the ceiling, doors and trim which is what I wanted cause that gives the nicest look. He repaired some of the drywall for a reasonably extra charge. There were only a few places where the painting had a drip mark. But he repaired them after bringing it to his attention. All in all, he is a darn good painter.
He also installed Engineered Hardwood flooring through out most of the house almost 1500 sq ft. He was very clean. There was no glue tracked around my home as I have had with a previous experience. And oh his transitions that he installed without the t-molding looked so clean. It looks amazing. My visiting guests comment on my wood floors all the time.
Dave installed 5 inch baseboards and crown molding throughout my entire home. This was like frosting on the cake. When it was done, my home was starting to come together. His precise cutting of every piece of wood left little to no gaps to be filled in with caulking.
By far Dave knows his trades and I'd like to call him The Master of a Few! I will definitely use his services in the future and I highly recommend his work. Use him for flooring, trim or painting. He is definitely good at it.
