FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is different. I price based on scope, complexity, style, materials, and timeline rather than forcing every client into the same package. Consultations and estimates are always free, and I’ll make sure you know exactly what’s included before we begin. Most projects include at least two rounds of revisions, with additional revisions available when needed. I also offer package pricing for projects that combine multiple services. A deposit is required to begin work, with the remaining balance due at completion. Travel, specialty materials, printing, and rush timelines may be additional depending on the project. Most importantly, I’m upfront about pricing from the beginning. I’d rather build the right scope with you than surprise you with costs later.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start by getting to know the idea behind the project, not just what you want it to look like, but what you want it to FEEL like. From there, we’ll talk through your vision, inspiration, timeline, and budget. Reference photos, Pinterest boards, sketches, color palettes, or even a collection of completely random things you love are ALWAYS welcome. Once we have a direction, I’ll provide a quote, collect the deposit, and get to work on initial concepts. Then we refine together! You’ll have opportunities to give feedback and request revisions before anything is finalized. For murals, I can mock up the design directly on a photo of your actual space so you can visualize it first. Digital projects are delivered in the appropriate formats for their intended use, which may include PNG, JPG, PDF, SVG and other requested/source formats. If you don’t know what file types you need, that’s okay—I’ll help you figure it out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m primarily a self-taught artist and have been creating for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I used to check out art books from the library to teach myself new techniques, and was always the person making the posters, T-shirts and logos in school. I’ve continued developing my craft through hands-on experience for more than 10 years, along with formal college art coursework and digital design tools such as Affinity Designer. My nine years in the Air Force also gave me an unexpected second design education. I regularly turned information-heavy briefings, presentations, mission statements and other content into something people could actually understand and engage with. That experience is a huge part of why my work now spans both physical art and digital design.
