I hired this process server for legal service of documents. Immediately after I made payment—before any attempt at service—I began receiving emails and text messages requesting that I leave a review. This raised concerns for me, as the service had not yet been performed.
Despite providing clear instructions and the correct address for the other party, he initially came to my address instead. This made me uncomfortable and suggested that the documents or instructions were not carefully reviewed beforehand.
To assist with completing service, I personally contacted the other party to confirm their exact location and facilitated the exchange of contact information between the process server and the other party. As a result, the documents were ultimately served.
However, during service, the process server made a personal comment to the other party along the lines of “don’t let that girl get the best of you.” I found this comment unnecessary, inappropriate, and unprofessional. A process server’s role should be strictly neutral and limited to serving legal documents, not making personal remarks or appearing to take sides.
Additionally, the Declaration of Service was not provided in a timely manner. Despite knowing how urgent and important this document was for court filing purposes, there was a significant delay in sending it. This caused unnecessary stress and further concern regarding professionalism and reliability.
Based on my experience, I had concerns regarding professionalism, neutrality, timeliness, and attention to detail. I would encourage anyone considering this service to proceed with caution and ensure expectations are clearly documented in writing. I didn’t want to publish this review, but this is my honest experience, Process Server stop communicating once he served the papers to the other party and now I’m trying to get my declaration but he will not respond. I understand people may have a busy schedule, but I feel this is intentional.
