- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was due with my son on the last one, but I plan on attending the ISCA (International Society of Caricature Artists) Convention next year!! I have taken online classes with JAson Seiler..
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been painting faces in Phoenix for twelve years and at parties there would be a caricature artist! I would be so intrigued by their work and jealous that they got to draw pictures that people treasured, rather than face paint that would get snotted up in seconds. I decided in 2014 to venture my caricature drawing out of my home studio and into live parties! What a challenge it has been!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently drew full color digital caricatures at a trade-show conference for a company and found that I could do full color digital drawings, print them, hand them to a customer in a sleeve, at the rate of 15-17 per hour! I was moving quickly and providing a high quality drawing that the company just loved!
