Really enjoyed working with Cindy as she was both professional and passionate. She enjoyed partaking in our secret proposal shoot and she brought her enthusiasm to her work and to the interactions we always had both on the phone and in person. She understood that I wanted it to be a surprise so she stayed hidden while still capturing great shots and then came out once my now fiancé had said yes :) She took the time to go to the site the night before and test it out to make sure it all went perfectly the night of the actual proposal and she did that entirely on her own without me requesting her to. That showed to me the genuine care she had for making it all perfect for us. She was extremely accommodating and reasonable and plan on using her again in the future. A great find on thumbtack!

Cindy went above and beyond to ensure that I looked my very best. The set up was professional and I felt like I got my money's worth.
The one issue I had was I felt like there was a bit too much emphasis on an open mouth smile, which does not feel natural to me when posing for a photo; I don't think it looks good when I force it. I ended up going with a close mouthed one, which looked great.
Nevertheless, a positive experience with a positive outcome!

Cindy was excellent. It was a challenge to work with our 4 year old granddaughter and my husband was having pain issues that contributed to problems getting pictures. Cindy and her husband were very understanding and the pictures came out well.
Cindy took a lot of pictures just to get the right one - since we were having a few issues with the 4 year old. She really did capture that little one's personality!!! I wil recommend her to my friends.
Also, Anthem is a beautiful place for pictures - it has everything this time of year; beautiful waterfalls, flowers, trees, railroad.

I have only glowing things to say about Cindy from CMQ. What truly sets her apart from other studios I have used in the past is her upfront education. 1) She sends out images to gauge what we want our portraits to resemble (clothing, background, facial expression, pose, etc.). 2) She sends a list of clothing suggestions and encourages bringing extra to the shoot to weed out imperfections like poor fit, wrong color under light, wrinkle hangs, and other issues you might not know until you show up. But with the extras, there is plenty to work with and end up with fantastic final shots. 3) She is clear about makeup recommendations, both providing products and pros.
She coached me throughout the shoot. She'd stop every few pictures and have me look at the images asking what I liked, or didn't so that she could continue to capture my best shot. These fine tuning adjustments made all the difference. I ended up with beautiful and fun professional pictures that fit every marketing and social media need.
She took the time to understand the nature of my business, analyze the clients I need to reach, and help me find the right expressions to accomplish that goal.
Finally, she made me feel good. That sounds silly, but since confidence is so important in professional pictures, her words of affirmation just brought out a sparkle in my eyes that not everyone with a camera would capture.
I am truly grateful for the extra care, time, and attention. And I am sure I will be back.

Working with Cindy was an incredibly positive experience from beginning to end! Having never taken head shots before, and not particularly loving being in front of the camera - I was a little worried about my photos and expressions looking awkward and unnatural. Cindy immediately made me feel comfortable from our very first conversation and throughout the entire photo shoot. It was obvious how much she genuinely cared about capturing my natural personality and the overall essence of what I wanted to convey. She sincerely listened to my ideas as we collaborated on our plan, and clearly put a lot of thought into preparing for our photo session together to ensure she got just the right shots. The time flew by and I almost forgot about the camera at times since we were having so much fun! I’m thrilled with the results, and would highly recommend CMQ Photos for any of your photo needs!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a set prices for our different types of headshots on our website please click on schedule and pick the type of service you are interested in. If you have a request or need for extra service, like rush service or additional images we have set prices for them just send an email and we would be happy to answer any of your questions.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We want to talk to our clients about what they have in mind for the photo session. We have the photographic ability to do lots of things but we want to make sure we understand what the client is looking for and we have questions that will enable us to really understand what the client wants.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every year we attend Professional Photographers of American - Imaging USA. Every February we attend WPPI - Wedding Photographers and Portraits International conference in Las Vegas. In Spring we attend Shutterfest. All of these convention are for full time professional photographers to continue their education and techniques. I also watch and purchase videos from Creative Live.
