Our old gate ended up breaking a few weeks ago so we decided to see what options we had to replace it, looking for something that wasn't the standard metal frame with wood slats. Carlos responded to my inquiry super quickly and was out the next day to talk about options.
We went through a lot of pictures and settled on a design. We also decided to do our other side gate so they matched. Carlos got us a quote a couple of days later and he was able to incorporate my wife's ask to have a bottom kick plate to make it more sturdy.
Carlos does this work custom and you can tell he really enjoys his work. He came back out to get final measurements and 2 weeks later (today) he installed both gates in a couple of hours. They look great, feel incredibly sturdy, and while I'm no welding expert, his workmanship looks great! Most importantly, my wife is happy.
I'd absolutely recommend Carlos to others. He explained the whole way what he'd be doing, gave recommendations, and included everything in his price - no surprises. We will likely be reaching back out to him when we have more metalwork to be done.

Carlos was great to work with. Very responsive to all messages, punctual, and does great work. I needed my RV gaterepaired. One of the welds on the hinge was broke causing it to sag. Carlos found that one of the support posts was partially corroded. I had no idea but not surprised with these houses they just put up as cheap as possible. He was able to mount some brackets to stabilize the post. He also took the time to improve the welds on the other three hinges. I will definitely be calling Carlos for all future gaterepairs. I highly recommend you do as well.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My customers should know that when we agree in a price for service, the price is not going to change regardless if it takes longer, the price remains the same unless customers request additional work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I meet the customer at the place where they need work done and help them to identify if they just need a repair or replacement, after that’s established I’ll send them an estimate, if the customer approves, I’ll make an appointment to start project as soon as possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 12 years of experience, started working in metal fabrication in 2009 , I went from zero to building gates in about 3 months , Im trained in MIG welding, TIG welding, Plasma cutting, Oxyacetylene torch cutting, soldering. I also have experience with different types of metals like carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, galvanized metal, bronze, brass.
