It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Kelsall. My son has been taken pianolessons from Ms. Kelsall for two years. My son has Down syndrome and I was told by a lot of people so called “public school experts” that he would not be able to do anything in life. The progress that he made during his three months with Ms. Kelsall as a piano teacher far exceeded any expectations I had and demonstrated to me what a wonderful teacher she is. Not only did my son grow as a piano player he gained more confidence in himself in school academic and social activities. She has been able to impart her enthusiasm and love of playing the piano onto my son. She customized the music and lessons to his skill level and needs while at the same time providing challenges to keep the learning process going. I witnessed the wonderful connection that developed between teacher and student. She is very proud of each and every student as was evident during recitals. Ms. Kesall sees each student as an individual and draws upon their strengths to teach them in ways that work best for them. She customized my son's lessons to his ability and particular learning characteristics. Much to my surprise, my son knows his notes and can now read music and play piano with both hands and use the foot pedal at the same time. He can also play chords.
I respect Ms.Kesall for many of her qualities but most of all because she is able to connect with my son and her students and customize their pianolessons according to their strengths. Ms. Kesall is very positive and encouraging teacher who is able to make confident self-motivated piano players out of her students. I highly recommend Ms. Kelsall as a piano teacher and I am envious of her future students who can experience her contagious passion and love of music first hand.

Ms. Kelsall is wonderful to learn from. One can tell right away that she is full of energy, enthusiasm and passion for teaching. Her approach is very thorough technical, but taught in fun ways and with a great deal of patience! As an adult student returning to piano after a long gap it has been great to go back to the learning these core skills which I never spent enough time on as a child. I also love that all students are made to feel very welcome and everyone is encouraged to join group activities.

I and my children are so glad to meet Ms.Kelsall as our first piano teacher. She is so experienced, passionate and warm hearted to children!! She was patient to make a good relationship with my shy daughter so my daughter got motivated quickly to learn piano.

I love this piano teacher. She makes the lessons fun and keeps it interesting. I have been taking lessons for a few months and am already reading music and playing songs. Bella is fun to work with and makes me laugh especially when I am frustrated). I highly recommended her for a piano teacher.

My son age 9 and daughter age 7 have been taken lessons from Ms. K for 6 months. They love going to her class every week and their piano skills have improved dramatically since they started. Ms. K is an excellent pianist and teacher, very experienced and effective. Both my son and daughter started playing piano at the same but the ways they play are different. Ms. K is very good at selecting the right lessons tailored for each of them. She is a wonderful person and I feel very lucky to have her.
