I have only glowing things to say about Cindy from CMQ. What truly sets her apart from other studios I have used in the past is her upfront education. 1) She sends out images to gauge what we want our portraits to resemble (clothing, background, facial expression, pose, etc.). 2) She sends a list of clothing suggestions and encourages bringing extra to the shoot to weed out imperfections like poor fit, wrong color under light, wrinkle hangs, and other issues you might not know until you show up. But with the extras, there is plenty to work with and end up with fantastic final shots. 3) She is clear about makeup recommendations, both providing products and pros. She coached me throughout the shoot. She'd stop every few pictures and have me look at the images asking what I liked, or didn't so that she could continue to capture my best shot. These fine tuning adjustments made all the difference. I ended up with beautiful and fun professional pictures that fit every marketing and social media need. She took the time to understand the nature of my business, analyze the clients I need to reach, and help me find the right expressions to accomplish that goal. Finally, she made me feel good. That sounds silly, but since confidence is so important in professional pictures, her words of affirmation just brought out a sparkle in my eyes that not everyone with a camera would capture. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We have a set prices for our different types of headshots on our website please click on schedule and pick the type of service you are interested in. If you have a request or need for extra service, like rush service or additional images we have set prices for them just send an email and we would be happy to answer any of your questions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We want to talk to our clients about what they have in mind for the photo session. We have the photographic ability to do lots of things but we want to make sure we understand what the client is looking for and we have questions that will enable us to really understand what the client wants.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Every year we attend Professional Photographers of American - Imaging USA. Every February we attend WPPI - Wedding Photographers and Portraits International conference in Las Vegas. In Spring we attend Shutterfest. All of these convention are for full time professional photographers to continue their education and techniques. I also watch and purchase videos from Creative Live.
