I offer a very relaxed and safe place for my students to unwind. My experience teaching for 29yrs, being certified, insured, offering helmets, being educated in Equine Science and management guarantees a safe and positive experience. This is my passion and goal for you or your child. My horses are amazing and kind and offer different levels of horses for beginning riders up to advanced. I use natural horsemanship methods, which I apply to first time riders, all the way to experienced riders and even barrel racing, which is my specialty.
My will to teach as much to my students that they can physically and mentally handle is one of my strongest passion. If my students are looking for trail riding lessons as a goal to work towards, I can provide that as well. I will work with students their own horse and provide limited boarding if stalls are available . If you are interested in hauling to barrel racing competitions/time only's I can provide you that service. Every student will learn how to safely approach and move around the horse with confidence. I'm very patient and respectful of my students comfort level around my horses as to not push them too much. I teach how to catch/halter, lead and tie the horse, groom their bodies, pick up and clean their hooves, saddle etc. After their lesson riding is completed they will learn the responsibility of untacking, and repeating the grooming process. They will also get a chance to wash their horse, weather permitting.
If you are interested in getting down and dirty or want your child to learn even more responsibility, they can learn how to clean stalls of course supervised if time allows. My age of students is from four to seventy-five right now.
Pricing is $75 for an hour . My schedule is somewhat set with my longtime students but will try my darndest to accommodate your schedule and availability. In the summer months my lessons start very early until noon and then start up again in the evening. I do have a lit arena if we run past sunset.
More than anything, I love what horses do for my clients hearts. The horse is a smart creatures and so in tune with people's emotions. If I see someone is having a rough day, maybe stressed about life's unfortunate situations, it fills my heart up with Joy to see the positive effects that my sweet, kind horses have on people, young and older. I ask people in the beginning what their goals are with my horses and strive my hardest to encourage and provide guidance to them so they will achieve their desires.
It doesn't matter to me what level the student wishes to achieve, my job is to give them the safest, encouraging and patient knowledge that I know I can offer.
