I just needed a few suggestions to update my home. I didn't want a complete, expensive remodel. Jessica offered ideas - simple things that I had never considered! They made such a big difference with minimal investment. She was always cognizant of the cost of items, focusing on good value for the money. I met with her just a few times, we shopped together, and then I was able to run with it and coordinate the changes myself. She also had great suggestions regarding folks to hire to do work, and both the ones I used were great.

I contracted Jessica, owner of Holm Interior Design, earlier this year to help me redesign and refresh my home decor along with selecting interior paint choices. Quite simply, Jessica is a great design expert, who will spend whatever amount of time is necessary to help meet a client’s needs. She takes her time to understand the client’s style, colors and specific likes and dislikes. From there she is hands-on and fun to work with. She actually saved me from buying a lot of new expensive decor; rather, she worked to reposition and remove many pieces to refresh each room’s design. Her wall color suggestions were exactly what I envisioned and a few finishing touches with items to add like draperies, rugs, etc., helped complete the look. Once my contractor finished the paint project, I have a new updated and bright home that both me and my husband love. I’ve attached some photos of the final results. They speak for themselves in relation to Jessica’s expertise. If the need arises, I’ll be sure to call Jessica again!

We recently remodeled our kitchen, and we’re looking for a designer to come in and help us pull the living and dining rooms in to coordinate. Jessica was the perfect person. She came in, used our existing items, and by simply rearranging our favorite items, she brought a whole fresh new look to our home. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I keep my billing as simple as possible, my fee is $75 an hour. I don't upcharge any furniture or decor that is placed in your home.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My design process involves a consult, where I visit your home to gather information about your space, who lives in your home and how the space is used. I then come back for a second visit with my design plan to present my ideas. If you choose the self design level, I will email you a copy of my design for you to pull the design together. If you would like the custom design with me more involved, I would begin searching for the pieces that are needed for your home.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from North Dakota State University in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design.
