FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got involved in rescue after spending time in the k9 handling community learning more about training detection dogs. That led me to work with all breeds and various species including cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, and birds in addition to the dogs.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am currently fostering a high anxiety dog, and just finished fostering a deaf dog until he was successfully adopted. Each of them come with unique challenges, but h love watching them hit milestones in their training and improve in their behavior taking them to the level needed to be adoptable into a home.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Set clear communication expectations upfront requesting daily updates and pictures. When entrusting your babies to a sitter or walker, it is not unreasonable to ask them to provide you with updates after every visit, and sometimes missing an update can be the first line of defense when they are not being cared for properly.
