Introduction: I fully believe in the sanctity of marriage. I truly believe that God chose it as a picture of his relationship with his people. This is not a contract it is a covenant. The marriage relationship can be considered the most intimate relationship between only a man and woman. It supersedes the couple's relationship between friends, parents, and future or present children. So I take it seriously. My job is to talk with the couple and make sure that this is realized. When there is a healthy marriage, life is so much better. When the family is strong society is strong. I feel that I am adding to society by creating a family. I am bringing two people together that are committed to each other and to their marriage.
