Jack put together a pergola for over my grill and I couldn’t be happier with his work. He is meticulous and detail-oriented more than anyone I’ve ever hired to do this type of work. He brought his own tools & figured out a way to make sure this would stay secure. He also did a lot of other things around the house like hanging pictures and fixing miscellaneous things. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically, I will quote by the hour, but included are the Thumbtack Opportunity fee and my travel time and miles to your job location. I use my time wisely and will not overcharge.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to agree that the customer will hire me for the work. Upon arrival we will go over the current situation, and what the customer wants as the final solution, and then ensure the pricing is acceptable. I will stay until you are happy with the results. Your satisfaction is my primary goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent several years as a short-term rental owner and maintenance resource for a dozen properties, constantly assembling, repairing, upgrading, and improving the properties for the best guest experiences. I have also done all my own design, remodeling, and repairing of 6 owned residences in AZ. I am my own toughest critic and always make sure the job is done beautifully.
